The Last Post.

Hi teacher and classmates.

This first half of age was very different what I expected. New courses and experiences (good and bads) they have been present.

First, this is the second year that I live solo in Santiago, and it is a difficult experience but that it has made me be a better person and it has allowed me to grow. It is not easy to leave you family and friends overnight, and live with another family you've never seen (I rent a piece). However, I have learned for example I learned to cook (before I not known cook a scrambled egg), and things that before mom did for me.

Another topic that I would like talk about of my carrer in the university. This semester it has been quite difficult and exhausting. I have a learned to be more tolerant of frustration, and I be more patient and I not despair because I can not do things immediately. And doing things well not for of the teacher who evaluated you, but thinking that after this I will do it in a patient.

I hope to finish this semester in a good way. And I wish each of you the best, and after the test we have a nice conviviality.

Myself in 10 years

Hi classmates

The present day, I will talk about how I see myself in ten years. In the 2028, I will be much older, with abundant beard. I will be working in the public service of health, maybe in Santiago or in La Serena (I must think about it) Really, for me it’s difficult to describe myself in a lot of years in the future.

However, I think that I will definitely be more mature of mindedness, because I will live experiences that I that will allow me to learn and think differently but without distancing myself from my own values and principles.

On the other hand, I will be with my girlfriend and we will plan to travel somewhere, because winter holidays will be coming.

I will also be, in addition to practicing my career, researching and doing classes at the university, because I like it and it is important for the creation of new knowledge. Also I will have a specialty (I do not want to mention any because there is still some time to be able to decide).

And finally, I hope to stay more time with my family or to  visit them frecuently.

My favorite course

Hi community! 

The present day I will talk about my favorite course in this third semester. The first half of this academic year, has been different in comparison to last year. The courses are more specific and they demand more time. In this semester, I have seven courses, of which five are mandatory courses. Despite this, I still like dentistry. 

My favorite subject in this semester is "Scientific and clinical basis for diagnosis in dentistry I", it's a theoretical course and I have fourth times week. It's a mandatory course and it's a requirement to have other courses. The main contents of this course are: biochemistry, physiology, pathology and microbiology. In this course we have theoretical classes, weekly quizzes, seminars and four tests in all the semester.

I like physiology because it's very important to have knowledge about the functioning of body in relationship with dentistry. And pathology is very interesting because it has relation with relevant diseases such as oral cancer. 

Finally, if I could change something about this course, I would give more time because they are many classes and each one has its difficulty.

Morfo a Website of Anatomy

Hi everyone.

The present day I will talk about a career-related website, it's name is Morfo. The address is https://www.morfo.cl. This page is a website of anatomy of the Faculty of medicine of University of Chile, used by students of careers of the health area, such as medicine, kinesiology, odontology, nursing, and others. To access it, you must create an account and also you have to be registered in the university.

I will described how I use this website the last year in anatomy. 

In the main page, there are five sections (topics): anatomy, neuroanatomy, imagenology, histology and embriology. I used this page mainly when I did gymkanas (practical test to recognize anatomical structures). You click in the topic, next you see different lessons and you can do theoric tests and gymkanas. Last year, I visited the page three days before the anatomy tests.

I like the site because it's very useful to understand anatomy, and for practice in different cadaveric material. Thanks to this page I improved my marks and I was able to exempt myself. I recommend it.

The intelligence of Dogs.

Now, I will talk about pets. I like mainly dogs because I have lived and shared with them for more time, however I also like cats, they are very tender. Dogs are very interesting and amazing because they show love and their intelligence can be useful in situations for example: assistance dogs, police dogs for detection drugs and guardian dogs.

I'd like to talk about the dog of my aunt, his name is Benito. It's a Chilean Fox Terrier and it turned 5 years recently. Benito is very intelligent for example: he doesn't drink water if it's not clean, when he is hungry he stays in front of his plate until you give him food. And the most important event for me is when Benito put his body on top of Simón when he had an epilepsy attack, to avoid that Simon would hit some furniture. 

My point of view is that dogs are very important in occasions as assistance dog for people with some disability and they would be a big company for people with advanced age.

Hi community.

In this chance, I will recommend a picá that you must visit, if you will come to dentistry faculty. Its name is "Ricoffee", it was founded in november 5 of 2012 and it's a restaurant and cafeteria, located in faculty of Chemistry (a few steps away from the faculty of dentistry). Ricoffee offers you sandwiches, delicious cakes and homemade queques (traditionals and for vegans), natural juices and a variety of coffees. 

At hour lunch, can you eat a variety of sandwichs (Chacarero, barros luco, italian, and others), completos (italian, As or with sauerkraut). Also, have a menu for only 2 lucas that incluides salad or soup, background plate, dessert, bread and pebre and juice or water. Also, they have salads for vegetarians, vegans or if only you want to watch your calories. And these cold and rainy days, Ricoffe also offers delicious sopaipillas.

Alana

Hi classmates.

I like share with you this picture. This photo I took in Santiago in march of last year in the apartment that I lease. In the picture show to female English bull dog, her name is Alana. Her had in this time third months, with luck I saw her teeth. Was very difficult put in the sofa, because her is very naughty and playful. This picture is special for me because her was a ... in the firsts months I lived solo in Santiago. Moreover was my first time I live with some pet. I give food and play everyday in the garden with her and the landlady's son. The weekends, the landlady and sons they left, and I stayed in the apartment with her all the afternoon, and sometimes I sleep with her.

To end of the semester the landlady sold a Alana, this was sad for me because I couldn't do anything. :(
